New site, New blog!

When I started my photography journey, I decided I needed a website.  I eventually created a website and originally included a blog.  I was absolutely terrible at blogging.  I never knew what to say and I tried to blog every single session (which wasn’t a lot in the beginning, but hard for me either way).  I had so much trouble keeping up with the blog, that it became extremely boring and pretty excruciating to read.  I decided to delete the blog from the site to save readers from the agony.  About a year passed by and so much has happened.  We went from a family of 4 to a family of 6 and our photography business has grown so much.  During my pregnancy, I think I was so terrified of something happening to the babies that I didn’t put forth much effort into photography.  I didn’t grow too much as a photographer during those last few months (although my belly did!), but I did continue to follow the work of other photographers that I admire so much.  After the twins arrived, a spark was ignited in me that I haven’t seen since I first picked up a camera.  I knew I needed to improve and I knew that I wanted this business to go somewhere.  I also realized that I loved reading other photographer’s blogs and without them I may not have continued to follow their work and may never have been so inspired.  Obviously, I had to add the blog back to my site.  I know that I won’t be blogging every day and I’m ok with that.  I’m a mom first and I have to take the time to chase all of these boys around, but I do know that I need to make an effort to keep this up and that I need to challenge myself.  I won’t be blogging about every session, but I will definitely be posting about some.  I will probably use this area to post about some of my own photography projects, since I personally like to read about the more personal lives of other photographers.  I have learned that I have to keep challenging myself to keep this passion growing and I think that posting some of these challenges on this blog will help hold myself accountable.  🙂

Hopefully, I can make this enjoyable for all of our followers!  Thanks for reading and stay tuned!!  🙂

A photography blog isn’t much without photos, so here are some of my little loves:
